Notification of K907 Proposal Documents and Meeting

We received some important news regarding the Co-Location to share with you. See below.

The meeting at this which the proposal to re-site Aspirations Diploma Plus from K824 to K907 and co-locate with Brownsville Academy and New Visions AIM I is expected to be voted on by the Panel for Educational Policy has been rescheduled to April 19, 2023. Additionally, due to the temporary extension of the Mayor’s Executive Order concerning open meetings law, the meeting at which this proposal is expected to be voted on will be held via teleconference.

No changes have been made to the original Educational Impact Statement for this proposal, posted by the NYCDOE on Friday, March 3.

We look forward to seeing you at the Joint Public Hearing for this proposal, which will be held via teleconference on Tuesday, April 4, at 6:00 p.m. Feel free to reach out with any questions in the meantime.

Parent Teacher Conference

The evening parent teacher conference will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

The afternoon parent teacher conference will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.

The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) is proposing to re-site and merge Aspirations Diploma Plus High School (17K646), referred to as Aspirations Diploma Plus, with Brownsville Academy High School (17K568), referred to as Brownsville Academy, in building K907 beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. NYCDOE is also proposing to re-site ReStart Academy (79M973), referred to as ReStart, to K907 beginning in the 2023-2024 school year.
